Karakoc Koyu

KARAKOÇ KÖYÜ Turkey.

Site 5 km N of Klrklareli, in Turkish Thrace. The only ancient monument is a tumulus E of the village. Excavation brought to light a circular tomb chamber with a false dome of the 4th c. B.C. Bronze vessels, iron weapons, ceramics, and terracotta lamps found in the tumulus are in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum.
